Since setting up Emerald Health & Safety Services Ltd, in partnership with sister company Emerald Project Management, we have managed to secure some great clients and projects.
The early part of my year involved the usual business setup process, but I also threw myself into networking across the Midlands. Networking not only gave me confidence in my brand, but also about selling ‘CDM and all things Health & Safety’ to people outside of construction – not easy! Also, upon reaching out to former colleagues and other consultants, I quickly began to pick up nationwide CDM-projects, with both commercial and domestic clients.
CDM projects include:
PD Assist services for new warehousing and office developments in North London, Worcester, Manchester, Wednesbury, Derby, Edinburgh, Warwick and more. CDM Site Audit support to another H&S consultant practice for a sub-contractor of Willmott Dixon in and around the M25.
Exciting times ahead
An important reminder, CDM15 applies to a vast array of construction work regardless of its duration on site. Also, if there are to be two contractors or more, then the ‘CDM Client’ must appoint a Principal Designer and a Principal Contractor.
